An academic degree conferred by a college or university to students who successfully complete the undergraduate curriculum is known as a bachelor’s degree. Help answer the question about medical degree
What should I take in high school to prepare for a medical degree?Ok. I'm a 14 year old high school freshmen. All my courses are set for this year but I'm looking at what I should take for the years to come.
My first (and only until my next report card) grade for biology was a B, but I was a bit stressed out. I'm generally a straight A student.
What else? What do I need to do to prepare? What colleges are the best for a medical degree? What's their acceptance rate, minimum GPA, etc…?

I am doing the Associate in Paralegal studies through Virginia College Online. They are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools Which is recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Virginia College Online is offered through an actual on campus college, Virginia College at Birmingham in Alabama.
This means They have a federal school code and through them you are eligible for student aid through FAFSA.
It is costing roughly $11,000/yr including books, fees, and tuition. The program is 96 hours and they charge $325/credit hour.
Whichever school you choose, research their accreditation through CHEA and the USDE (links below.) You can also check their reputation through the Better Business Bureau.
It is true that online degrees are often of lower quality. (DEPENDING on the university/school you attend).
Example: I'm getting my masters through KU. I know all the professors teaching the classes are real professors. They are very knowledgable in their fields. If you ask questions they know the answer and could even list several good books on the subject.
A friend of mine is getting his through a wimpier school. Most of his classes have been taught by principals from different schools. Sure, they are knowledgeable, but it isn't close.
online degrees are like that: you aren't getting the benefit from a truly knowledgable professor.
I did take a couple of online classes back when I was thinking about quiting teaching. I know that (FOR ME) I am just not very motivated by online courses. I don't study as hard. The material isn't learned as well because there aren't discussions and other activities that help you to understand. You can't bounce ideas off otehr students, etc..
I'm sure they are good in their own way, but you'd ahve to work hard to convince me that online is better then the education I am receiving (and I must admit, I am NOT a jayhawk fan… it's just close to home…

I usually only recommend online degrees to people who absolutely can not set foot on a campus, such as yourself. If you didn't do this online, you couldn't do it at all. So there you go.
If you get an MBA, online or offline, go to an AACSB accredited program. Some employers will not hire students who come out of non-AACSB accredited programs.
In many fields, the reputation of where you get your MBA can matter. So try to get into the best reputed MBA program that you can.
All that said, there are some really good quality MBA programs, AACSB accredited, that do offer online degrees. These include:

- Boston University
- Rensselaer Polytechnic
- University of Massachusetts, Amherst
- Carnegie Mellon
- Northeastern
- Duke
- Worcester Polytechnic
- U Nebraska
- Penn State
- U Maryland
And about a zillion others.
If you think an MBA will get you places, and if online is the only way you can do it, go to the best quality school you can – one with a good name, and one that is AACSB accredited.
Ideally, try to find a school that doesn't write "she did this online" on your diploma or anything. Your diploma should be the same as that of campus-based students. Usually, it is, but it's worth asking the question to be sure.
And there's no way an employer can tell from your resume that you did this online. Not if you write it up correctly:
Education: MBA, Northeastern, GPA 3.97
Of course, if they ask about it, you'll tell them you did it via distance. But there will be no red flag on your resume, as people know these schools for their brick and mortar presence, not their online presence.

If it is an accredited school, then you'll be treated the same.
Not all online programs are created equal. Your best bet is to stick with a school that has a "real" brick and mortar campus PLUS an online degree program.
You'll also be better off with a more traditional major. For instance, the FBI likes accounting and Computer Science. They'll teach you all the counterterror stuff you need to know when they hire you. You won't really learn anything that useful in an online degree program about Intelligence Operations, I promise.
In the USA, the only worthwhile accreditation are "regional " accreditations. Specific "professional" programs also need programmatic accreditation — eg TAC/ABET for Enginering and Engineering Technology, AACSB for Business degrees.

According to wikipedia, Belford is not accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Any online program should be done through a university which is accredited by one of the big six accrediting agencies recognized by the US Government.
